Kevan Shaw acted as lead deal adviser to the Buy-Out team of Sean Taggart and Steve Hornby, on the Management Buy-Out of the award-winning Albatross Travel Group.
The Albatross Group is a market-leading wholesale travel organisation, promoting its tours exclusively to the travel industry. The Group was established in the UK in 1985 and currently handles the travel arrangements for over 5,000 leisure groups every year. It will generate sales of over £27m in the current financial year and has subsidiaries that operate in Europe and Australia.
The deal was financed by Co-operative bank in Leeds and Private Equity Investment Vehicle, the Cornell Group. Kevan Shaw said: “I am delighted to have led the negotiations for the deal on behalf of Sean and Steve and to have successfully raised the funding for what proved to be a complex transaction."
