Cooper Brown Enterprises, the acquisition vehicle of Marie Cooper and Chris Brown, has completed a deal resulting in a strategic investment in Chesterfield based BG Engineering. The deal was advised by, Kevan Shaw, Director of Sheffield based dealmakers Castle Square Corporate Finance with legal advice provided by Paul Trudgill, Partner of hlw Keeble Hawson.
Marie and Chris were previously part of the management team who successfully built Private Equity backed President Engineering Group, before its sale to Parker Hannifin.
Following their successful exit from President they set about looking for businesses, in which they could invest and add their considerable skills and experience to accelerate growth in revenues and profits. BG Engineering is the first targeted acquisition.

Founded in 1988 BG Engineering is a Precision Sub-Contractor that specialises in CNC Engineering and has achieved growth by investment in highly skilled individuals and continued investment in the latest machine tool technology, allowing it to work in diverse markets.
The company is involved in manufacturing OEM parts mainly to the gas valve sector, other industries include food and beverage, high pressure cylinders & utilities.
Antony Homes, founder of the company retains a significant shareholding as part of the deal, and remains as Managing Director.
