The Castle Square Corporate Finance team led negotiations in the sale of Pyramid Fire Protection Limited, a long established Sheffield based fire protection company, to an AIM listed plc. Kevan Shaw, Director, led negotiations giving the Shareholders a satisfying exit on the sale of their fire protection business Pyramid Fire Protection to Green Compliance plc, an Aim listed business support services group with group turnover of around £20 million. Sheffield based Pyramid design and install bespoke fire detection and protection systems and include Bradford Royal Infirmary, Sheffield Forgemasters and defence contractor Babcock International in its blue-chip client list.

The transaction involved the Castle Square team identifying and approaching potential acquirers, and running an auction process, leading to Green Compliance emerging as the preferred bidder.

The team were aware, from contacts and industry knowledge, that this was a consolidating sector with a number of larger companies engaged in buy and build strategies. Green has a well-established track record of acquisitions in the fire protection sector and became clear front runners early on in the process.

Legal services were provided by Peter Crawford and his team from Taylor & Emmett Solicitors.

Kevan Shaw said, “Castle Square is delighted to have acted on this transaction, which secures a successful exit for the shareholders and also ensures the future success of the company in the hands of Green Compliance".
