A successful Sheffield company which has played an important part in keeping the country’s rail and road transport running for over 100 years is expanding after buying one of its suppliers.
Turton Springs Ltd, who manufacture products ranging from ultra-lightweight springs for the specialist car market to heavy duty coil springs and anti-roll bars for commercial vehicle manufacturers, have acquired Locum Fine Steels Ltd who supply a variety of industries with wrought steel products in the form of bar forgings and machined parts.
Turton Springs, who were advised at all stages of the acquisition by Kevan Shaw, have a reputation for quality design and manufacture and prestige names such as Rolls Royce and Bentley are among their customers.
